Don't worry about being a weirdo. Pay attention to a woman, notice something small that she put thought into and mention it, ask her what she does and make a flirty joke out of that, be prepared to springboard off the flirty joke into a conversation about what she does.

Pay close attention to the things she says and make genuine conversation. Don't just be friendly. Be respectful and tasteful yes, but be funny and push the envelope with your humor. If she's clearly not into it, move on.

End goal here is to basically either get her to go do something with you right then and there, like "Hey I was gonna go across the way and get a bite, wanna come?". If she says yes be enthused for the new partner in your journey and physically (gently) lead her there.

Otherwise if she says no get her number and go elsewhere.

Why do you care if someone would think negatively of you? You're there for a week, you're obviously not looking for something serious and these aren't people who are going to be part of your future.

Unless you're really good looking and girls would want to fuck you just because you're a hot guy, my advice would be to go talk to people wanting to have fun and a good conversation, as opposed to figuring out "how do I get laid".

Telling someone you want to spend time with them because they're pretty is generally not going to get you a particularly good response, but if that's the approach you want to take, go for it and see for yourself.
