I just asked my crush what she likes about me, and then followed up with So, can I ask you if you like me then?" and she replied with "What do you mean "Like"
I might be overthinking, but is this setting up for a rejection? do girls say this when they're about to reject you?

She knows what you mean dude. She's just avoiding the question. Asking someone you're not dating what they like about you, especially following it up with asking them if they have a crush on you, is extremely cringy or at the very least juvenile, and quite possibly ruined any chances you may have had with this chick. Next time be confident and tell her you want to take her on a date. No more complicating things with confessions of feelings that nobody knows how to react to.
