hey /adv/ i need advice on what to major in, in the past few days i've been relentlessly trying to figure out what should i become and it is quite puzzling, i want to major moslty in biochem but i also have a passion for Microbiology but i seem to be perplexed when it comes to which, i am located in europe and mostly i found ,,some,, collage options but hardly any job options, advice me, should i really chase my passion or should i change career paths?

Your first step should be learning the difference between a collage and a college.

>all engineering will include math and physics
>electrical/mechanical/civil engineering are physics heavy
>chemical/nuclear engineering and chemical math heavy

>computer stuff will always include programming language
>computer engineering includes studying both software and hardware of computers
>computer science is about software development and software engineering

>medicine is a long long path, at least 8 years of preperation and studying before you actually start working
>health science/laboratories/physiotherapy take a relatively shorter time to finish

You should learn all you can about all different majors before choosing, don't wait around for people to decide for you/teach you about it, your time is limited.

t.Someone who blindly went into chemical engineering and wasted 2 years before switching to computer science and starting over.
