I noticed this fucker on the wall of my room and I was ready to go and smack him, but he was too high up (very tall walls) and I went on to turn the light on instead to figure out what I'll do with the bugger.
I was keeping an eye on him as I was approaching the light, and I turned for literally one fucking second to turn the light on and he was gone. I'm shitting myself right now because I have no clue where he hid, and I sleep on a mattress on the floor and I don't want that fucker crawling up on me while I sleep.
What the fuck should I do?
has the perimeter been sprayed for bugs?

Completely harmless

Centipedes are bros, don't worry about him at all.

Moved in like a month ago, not sure.

He can stay as long as he doesn't molest me.

Then again not sure if it was this bugger, his feet looked more like hairs than anything. But I read they're really fast and this guy was gone in a split second, so I guess it was.
Thats a silverfish. He probably crawl in your mouth while you sleep.
:)

Not a silverfish. Silverfish look like pic related.
That's a house centipede. A lot of people think they look freaky, but they're total bros. They can't survive the winter outside and so they live in houses; they're originally from the Mediterranean. They eat lots of other household pests, like roaches and termites.
They are venomous, like all centipedes, but they're so small and so skittish that the chance of being bitten is practically none. Even so, if you do get bitten, the venom is pretty much harmless to humans. It might cause you some temporary pain, but that's it.
So I suggest you let him be. He'll keep stuff that's much more destructive out of your place.

creepy as fuck but harmless. they eat other bugs which is good, but if you see them a lot it could mean you have another bug problem.

Eagle
This happened to me but with a massive spider. I was sleeping on my couch downstairs and noticed a moving object in my peripheral vision. Then it hid under my keyboard which was on the floor as I hooked my computer up to my tv via HDMI. I pulled the keyboard because i was tired and wasn't sure if i was seeing correctly and wasn't fully sure there was something there, and the fucker booked it straight to under my couch. i literally just packed my shit up and peaced. wasn't going to bother looking for it under my couch and no way in fuck i was going to sleep with that thing right under me. i am not sure why im writing this all out, i guess its because i have no friends or anyone to talk to so articulating my thoughts helps me feel like im actually a person.
Entomophobia isn't about the harm the insects can or can't do to you. For a lot of people, just looking at these fuckers activates your fight or flight instinct. If I see a house centipede, I know he's perfectly harmless, but one of us has to die before I can sleep.
