How do I stop being a lazy piece of shit?
Having literally no work ethic is ruining my life. I haven't had to try hard in education in my life and now I'm in the adult world but unable to do anything that takes more than an afternoon of working.
bump, because I'm also interested
OP I don't know how you're doing, but I graduated a month ago and have done literally NOTHING worth mentioning, not even an afternoon's worth of something
I've been telling my parents I'm looking for a job and working some personal project, but really I've just been procrastinating on doing anything
OP at least you're not alone, I guess
Forcing yourself to learn discipline. Ask for your parents help, so they could force you to go out and work.
Also look for a job with some friends, so you won't be alone nor bored.

>How do I stop being a lazy piece of shit?
Doesn't that motivate you to try harder? The fact that you can describe yourself as a lazy piece of shit?
My only advice then is find something worthwhile. Find something you feel like doing. Even working just to finance your video game collection is a motivation.

Stop lying. You lie because you know people are gonna flip out. You know what you are doing is wrong.
Take responsibility of your own life.
Cut electronics out of your completely for a month. No phone, no computer, no consoles, all of it.
One month. Thats all.
That month will feel like a year, you will change for the better, and youll be so bored that you will FIND something that makes you happy. Whatever that is, embrace it, get a job doing it, and do that until you can answer your original question.
You think Im nuts, but youll see.

Care to elaborate on what you do?
I'm relatively a lazy piece of shit myself, but I am quite productive at work, because otherwise I have absolutely nothing else to do and I'd rather entertain myself by doing my job while listening to music or a podcast, than being found browsing this site or fidgeting with my phone.
So I guess in a way, boredom and fear of losing my job or earning a bad reputation are what push me to don't be lazy at work. I'm totally different outside of work though, but that's another story.
Is your name Anthony F.? mmmm ... no, that's too obvious.... let me rephrase it: Is your name A. Farina?
