Im short sighted however if its a sunny day its not that bad compared to a cloudy day or at night is this normal? At night im as blind as a bat

That's just not how eyesight works. If it's already damaged the only way to fix it is laser surgery. You can however wear glasses to correct the flaws and see clearly. You can see an optometrist to get your eyeglass prescription. After you get the prescription make sure to ask them to measure your pupil distance and write it down!
