I work in a kitchen and work a lot with my hands I noticed my hands and wrist hurt when I wake up and my thumb and index is a little numb. Anyone else with this problem? people at work get it too I just wondering if there is a fix.
Sounds like it might be carpal tunnel, a wrist brace should help

Carpel tunnel is on the bottom, the radial tunnel is on the top.

Anon Ex chef here.
Try and get some time off dude, i used to get something similar after a hard couple of weeks, dexterity is key in the kitchen and it takes its toll, let it rest and it'll feel better
I suggest testing different methods of using your hands to do your job.
example: I'm a HEAVY computer user. Have been for like 12 years or some shit. Started with my right hand and got some permanent pain in a part of my wrist on the right hand. Not sure if it's carpel tunnel or what. I decided to switch to my left hand, so now I keep the keyboard ABOVE the mouse on the keybaord and the mouse is closer to my chest/stomach and I use my left hand at an angle so I move my arm more instead of my wrist to move the mouse.
It's creative and from then on I have been using the computer like this.
My wife just complains that everytime she has to use the computer she has to shift the stuff to the normal computer user way.
