Making a separate thread since recommended it.
I come from a third world country. I've literally wasted thousands of hours in books. My entire identity is based around being academically proficient. My interview preparation took 4 months since I didn't leave a single stone unturned. I recently got a job in my dream company.
The problem is, my friends who've never opened a book in their life lied on their resume and got jobs at great companies. Not only did they lie on their resume, they didn't attend the interview either. Somebody else did on their behalf. Don't ask me how this scam works but it is very elaborate.
I just feel I've wasted my entire life when I could have just taken the same shortcut they took. I am lumped into the same league as these guys who never had to work hard in their life. There is literally nothing out there for people with integrity. If I may come off as incredibly arrogant and bragging, please forgive me.
I don't really know the point of this post.

Well why not do what they did? If you are as skilled as you say then the interview is only a formality anyway. Except they'll be hiring someone who actually knows what they're doing.

They will not. There are organisations that help you out with the job remotely until you can do things on your own. This is a multi billion dollar industry. You literally cannot make this stuff up.
