Bro get the endoscopy. They aren't a big deal and they can do biopsy that way.

I had the same issue when I was having stabbing pains in my neck followed by temporary loss of function of my legs.
When you go to the doctor, just straight up tell them you don't want to get passed off and ignored. I had to bitch out 2 doctors before either got one that gave a shit. Consider talking to a specialist if that's something you can do in your area.
Also get the endoscopy done, might be what they need. They aren't as bad as they sound.

That's pretty dumb of him. You should try taking PPIs (like omeprazole) for 2 months if you have an ulcer, probably along a H2 blockers (cimetidine, ranitidine). It's one month minimum, 2 weeks isn't enough.

Also, gastroscopy isn't that bad, I've had it myself.

It's hard to say. If you had full medical coverage I'd say they should do an xray with resist to see the upper gi track. Pain around where you are saying could be an ulcer, which can happen anywhere in tye upper gi. I had one in the duadnum before. It took 1-2 months to fully heal.

They could also ultrasound your liver or torso or run more scanning type tests.

If you have persistently raised liver function tests with no clear cause, at a bare minimum you should have a liver screen set of blood tests including things like

Hepatitis serology, mono, Transferritin, copper, ANA, anti smooth muscle, anti-mitochondrial and AFP.

Then you also need an ultrasound of your liver.

These are the basics that need to be done in completion.

A liver biopsy wouldn't be indicated with that ALT as long as it's stable. Liver biopsies are high risk and still not a definitive diagnostic tool.
