There was an entire Greek philosophical school that was about checking out of life and kicking it with your friends on the grass because everything that society claims is important really isn't that important at all--and it thrived for CENTURIES before ultimately being forcibly suppressed.

And then of course meme things like good diet (not just a 'decent' diet) and regular exercise are known to improve mood.

What keeps me going? Well for starters I'm afraid of death and too much of a pussy to kill myself. And I don't want to hurt my parents since I'm their only son.
But besides that Idk I mean yeah everything looks bad, tastes bad, sounds bad. The world is turning bleak. My dad says he felt the same way in the 80's so I just tell myself that this decade sucks and that I will enjoy the 2020s.
What keeps me going is that curiosity. But I don't really have the drive to do anything in the present so I'm stuck there. My life is meaningless as well and I fear getting older too. I'm 24 and I feel old as fuck when I see adult actors are younger than me. Everyone I know irl hates their job but they find joy in the most mundane stuff like Netflix and drinking beer with friends. I have """friends""" but I'm not close to them anymore. I don't have a job or a gf. I want a gf only if it's that one girl that doesn't give me the time of day and I think I don't want a job even though I should get one, because I feel like "what's the point? I'll just be more depressed and more tired".

are you sure? that's kind of a media craze. wealthy people in developed countries have less children. the only problem is that there's going to be more welfare because the poor people keep having kids.

These two are not the same thing. If you make 100,000 to 300,000 you are not middle class, but that doesn't mean you aren't affected by the wealth disparity. Someone out there has like 50 trillion (exaggerating) dollars, and whether or not a person makes 40k or 120k a year is absolutely dwarfed by that.

If you're so interested in Economics and Politics, then study them instead of just ruminating.

Change what you read, and who you talk to. Get off 4chan and start talking to emotionally and mentally successful people. These people are likely to be more financially successful as a whole, and might even be able to offer you girls and jobs and shit.

Developed countries are becoming a smaller part of the population wile developing countries are in basically a permanent baby boom. So the overpopulation problem is actually quite real.
