College drop out here. looking for work that isn't flipping burgers. There will be a local class on welding from September to January, 3 hours a day, 4 days a week. I still have enough money in my college savings to afford it. Is this a decent career? I know little about it but I don't won't be stuck in minimum wage hell for the rest of my life
Good money, bad conditions.
And by bad I mean breathing in loads of fumes everyday and getting covered in oily shit. I couldnt do it for more than a couple of years but the money was worth it at the time, interesting to learn all the properties of metals and things if your into that.
They'll always be in demand.
