Any actingfags/actors/filmfags here? I'm currently looking to take on acting more seriously. Have been taking on more castings for indie projects recently. Of course got my day job.
Inb4 you can't make that much money doing/is highly competitive. Already know this.
I don't have any experience in the industry but my guess would be to get together a resume with a picture your face and recent roles. That may help you land a few more roles.
Another general tip is to network, making friends with your fellow actors, directors and people in technical roles in your current projects may open up a few opportunities.

Acting is a craft, not just a desire or even a talent. Wanting to be an actor is not enough. Have you had any formal training? Everyone you compete against will (and they'll go on taking classes through their careers)
Show the profession the respect of learning it and not just assuming your native talent will be enough
