My ex broke up with me a while ago but for some reason I find myself hating her and wanting her to be less successful in life.

I get that this is a rather common feeling, but it just feels wrong to be so hateful and negative. I want to wish her well, but I just can't help it. How can I change my mindset?

Right now you should just try to distract yourself. Whatever you feel right now will carry over to your dreams and you need rest. Obsessing over it will blind you with rage and cause you to have awful nightmares. In time you will realize things, then reconsider them, your mind is going to be all over the place for a while but you need time to see the situation with clarity and stop having crazy mood swings. You may handle the situation differently than I did but you still need to just chill for tonight.
