Can you guys recommend me a good E-book reader?
I was thinking of Amazon Kindle Oasis, is it any good?
I would prefer physical copies of books, but I got limited space, and buying hardcover would be quite expensive over time (I'm a student at the moment).
The thing with e-readers is that they can be a bit error prone or delicate. Like in my experience they freeze easily or the screen with break with a little pressure.
Then again I bought from Kobo. Never fucking again. Maybe Kindle is better.

I love my kindle paperwhite and had one that broke (my fault) and Amazon still discounted a replacement.

Why? Not OP tho.
I saw a thread in which they talked about the "compatibility" with other ebooks besides the ones bought in the E-reader store. Does Kindle supports books donwloaded from the computer?
I don't live in the US and here is hard to obtain some books that I want to read so I plan on getting them from b-ok or something

Where do you live? On Kindle you can read .mobi and .azw3 and .pdf files. Well, those are most common filetypes on Kindle. You can't read .epub files (which is the most popular file along with .pdf) but you can convert them easily into mobi using a program called Calibre. Will you be pirating and are you going to read in English?

Just use a cover and don't leave it on the floor and you will be good. Many people have had their Kindles for years.

True. Didn't have a cover for the thing. Still unexpected though, was thinking it would have the strength of an ordinary tablet but just the pressure from carrying it in my bag (and it being between textbooks) was enough to break it.

Kobo doesn't have that great a reputation. In Canada they're the most readily available reader though. I bought one used a couple years ago and it broke really easily, then bought a new one a few months ago and needed to return it twice due to the product freezing a day or so after use. It's not just me though, a lot of people seem to have issues with Kobo; in fact it's not a real presence in the US due to its tanked reputation.
Kindle might make better products though. I know Sony makes some stuff too. Issue is that if you live in Canada Kindle's don't support epubs, so you can't take advantages of ebooks in libraries unless you find some workaround.

Just strip the drm and convert to mobi. Epubor works well (I heard). Might be illegal, I would never do it.

Pocket book aqua 2.
Easy. If you buy any kindle you wont be able to even read ePub books you will pirate on internet.

Modern devices have glass now. Not an issue anymore.
I have a kobo. Chose it for the comparability and price.
I have had 2, I sat on the first one.
The second one has lasted me 3 years so far.
Not bad.
