wear some light loose longsleeves and a broad brimmed hat (not a fedora).

use a damp cloth on the major burns

take some aleve to deal with pain

stay the fuck out of the sun.

and wear loose clothing

I'm someone who gets that + welts. Not much to do to speed it up. Aloe Vera and a scent free pigment free moisturizing lotion will help the disconfort tho.

My genuine sympathies, I was stuck on a lake for 4 hours with no sunscreen, baked like a cake. It was the most painful thing I've ever experienced, and I've had some pretty painful things happen.
