I'm in a spot of bother.
My Window has messed up somehow and I am scared it's fucked.
UK by the way.
The window has two open modes- 1: when the handle is horizontal it should only open part way. 2: when the handle is raised to a vertical position it should swing forward full ways.
This has stopped working. The top left corner is loose and the handle cannot go any further than about 25 degrees from the open position.
There is a mechanism that controls this but I believe it has become stuck towards the top.
I can take more pictures for you if you need more information.

on my window that does this, there's a small piece of metal that's meant to detect if it's open or closed. when it stuck open both ways (it would swing open fully but also tilt at the same time), I had to press this piece in to be able to rotate the handle.

Okay so I found that and this releases the handle so it can now turn down but how do I shut it from there?
It only closes when pressed in so when I shut it, it pops back out.

Okay, tried it again to get it to the horizontal position and got it to work so it's fixed.
Do I need to oil the part? Or will it be okay from now on?
