What do /adv/? I feel like shit and want to kill myself now. I know my brain wants me to chase the loss, but I know that's the gambler's fallacy.
How do I make it stop hurting? I know I'm an idiot, I just ...feel like fucking garbage.
You only lost $500, let it go and keep away from the gamble.
IF you decide to gamble again set an amount you are willing to burn in one pocket and put the winnings (if any) in another.
Once the first pocket is empty, game over until next time.
Seriously tho, sort your life budget out first. Dont be stupid with gambling money meant for rent/food etc

This. My boss is a former gambling addict and it's cost him literally millions.
Over the course of 2016 I probably lost somewhere in the neighborhood of $3000 playing blackjack and I barely make any money at all. Since the start of this year i decided to stop, and I haven't gambled at all. It's really the only way.
Don't chase your losses just accept them and quit.
Walp, it's not like 500$ doesn't hurt your pocket, but assuming you're an average middle class anon in a first world country then you can probably live with it.
Take that as a bitter lesson from the damaging results on gambling and sigh in relief for not having lost more than that.

Learn from your mistakes. If you learned that gambling is a stupid hobby and ultimately results in a loss of money, than $500 was a minuscule price to pay.

>I did something stupid that ended in me losing something
That's a part of life, accept that you made a mistake, learn and move on.

better luck next time
Don't be a fucking dumbass, casinos are mathematically rigged in the house's favor in the long run. If you want to make your money work for you, invest it in broad market, low-expense ratio ETFs
