I've recently heard my name being called everywhere, by a voice that sounds like a girl every time. I looked it up and people say it's just someone calling for someone else, but I've heard it in my house and I don't have a "normal" name. Is it normal like everyone else is saying?
i had that as a kid. i frequently yelled "WHAT?" to my mom but she insisted that she hasn't called me. it happened most often when i was listening to music or was alone in my room. was pretty freaky, but idk what exactly it was.

A lot of the time it does sound like my mom, so it's weird that you'd say that.

Classical conditioning, friendos. You eventually grew up hearing your mother calling you every now and then in numerous occasions, and as such, you're likely to assimilate either actual voices or noises that sound vaguely like voices with that same noise that's deeply embedded into your brain. It's a normal thing.

yeah, but sometimes it was dead silent and like a whisper.

Whispers are even more generic sounds than regular midtone voices, just check out the absurd amount of people who project dialogue into EVP.

It's not just my mother though, as I've heard voices that I don't recognize, almost always a girls.
