How does one get rid of a fetish ?

I don't see the issue. Is it so crippling that you cannot enjoy sexual stuff unless there's an element of farting? If not, just see it as another thing to get off on. Plus if you date long term plenty of people would be comfortable farting among the two of you. Even if you might never get to take it to the bedroom, that's something.

There's no quick solve to rid yourself of a fetish anyway.

Fetishes are like addictions, you can stop indulging yourself so much and learn to get yourself off without porn in a healthy way or obsess over it and most likely only find someone who is really fucked up who will participate with you.

Not true at all. Sure you can pick up stuff from porn but I've had weird fetishes since I was a kid and I don't even like porn, never did. Still the fetishes are thriving.

It's not that the porn causes the fetish, the fetish is a predisposition to something because of whatever psychological/developmental problems might cause them. It's not that they're always bad, but they're almost always one or both of those reasons why it is present.

Can't really say anything sensible about that, I cannot recall significant moments. Like OP what I like is mundane (actually burping is one), but for example my parents never bothered trying not to fart around us when we were kids yet I don't like farting and did start liking burping. It's mysterious.

Either way unless OP cannot get off without it it's technically a kink (but I don't like to use that myself because of confusion) and I honestly think there's more people who like something out of the ordinary in that regard than people who don't. But it's hard to know for sure I guess.
