Our tenant who rents out our basement leaves his dog outside in a tiny cage (7x5) ish while he goes out to work almost everyday. He's out there all day, no toys just a cot. Hes out there in the rain as i type this. It makes me so fucking sad to see this. Hes a big dog and has lots of energy and is forced to sit there all day, sometimes 14-15 hours. I know its his dog but can ANYTHING be done? He isnt house trained and if hes stuck outside all day he digs. When the guy gets home he runs him around for FIVE minutes and thats it
Free the dog, kick his ass if he complains

I have thought about it but the dog will not survive or would be found and returned, he would just wonder around aimelessly
talk to him about it. Maybe he doesn't realize what he is doing to the dog. Maybe he has no one else to watch after it. Would you be able to take care of it?

Sorry I meant it as if you had some yard or something
Or offer him to walk the dog more often or help with building a bigger cage. Tell him you like the dog and would like to help him. It sounds less offensive to a guy who is probably an asshole apparently

He is an asshole kinda. My mom does take him for a walk on occasion and lets him out to pee throughout the day. As for the bigger cage there is not enough room. Is there anything i can do legally here?

He does realize but does not care it seems. Makes me wonder why he got one in the first place. He has ppl who can watch it but for some reason they dont
