it's the shortcut on his desktop named Oracle VM Virtualbox, it's software to create "virtual" computers on his normal one that can run in parallel to the main computer.

I personally use them for compartmentalization and running software I'm uncomfortable running on my main computer. They're essentially a fully functional virtual computer running on a physical one. I'm sorry I can't explain it better but if there aren't any unusual files on his computer they might be stored inside a virtual machine that has been fully encrypted.

now for the time consuming effort of digging through the videos. I'm assuming most of the large video files are just torrented movies and tv shows though. In the top right do you see the extension that's just a . with the description "Local Disk"? click on that and then it'll highlight one of the colored boxes, right click the highlighted box and click "explorer here".

I'm not sure what that one is but it might be a container stored without an extension like I store my truecrypt containers. You can also just dig through the videos because there's a good chance he didn't even bother to encrypt them.

thats not a movie. most torrented movies max out at like 3 gigs. 54 implies the video is much much longer than a movie, probably shot in raw format.
