How bad it is not to finish your university education if you have an ok job?
It's very likely that I won't pass my finals, which will be in 2 days. This is already my last chance... anyway I have a full time job in IT (degree is not in IT), which makes enough money and I generally like my employer.
Will it be a big deal if I'll become a dropout?
Some people say that the lack of degree can be a serious problem when it comes to a promotion, but I got the work when I didn't have a degree and nobody has ever asked me to finish it. I told my boss that I'd like to get promoted to a senior position in the next 0-2 years and she didn't mention anything about my education when we were talking about it.
What was the point of even entering university in the first place?
If you've only got two classes to go, just finish it.
university should be about broadening knowledge and expanding your horizons. if you've already got a sweet job or can afford leaving w/o degree then do whatever you want.
if it takes a shitload of debt to finance your education, dropping out is the worst thing you could do. at least get something tangible out of it.
i finished 2 years at a prestigious private university, and just throwing that on my resume impresses people but a lot comes down to work history and making a good impression.

Nobody cares about your degree in IT

Rather than just dropping out, see if your uni allows furloughs - temporary withdrawals with the option of returning - just in case you change your mind.

OP here. In my country you get your Bachelor's after 3 years, then Master's after additional 2 year. I'm failing on getting my Master's degree, I already have Bachelor's but it's not considered to be a complete university education here. I wish I tried to find a full-time job immediately after getting Bachelor's....

How do you even manage to fail a CS masters program?
>>18413526
As I said, it's not a CS degree. It's theoretical physics.
>>18413619
oh I love theoretical physics :)
what are your finals on?

Lot of stuff: group representations, PDE, differential geometry, multiparticle&statistical physics. I did thesis on quantum information, which I've already defended.
