OP here and should mention I have no pre-existing conditions and am perfectly healthy. I'm more worried about the penalty for not being covered. I've had to pay a fine or whatever for not having insurance even though I never went to the hospital.

Its not an investment, it's a scam. Everone falling for social health care is either a) benefiting from other peoples money or b) retarded. In case a) I would rather donate to a charity which help people in need out (instead of supporting shitty behaviour).
