I live in the USA its not common but its not unheard of either. Lot of people want to wait til they are out of college and work a few years to pay off the debts, right now its 27 for women and 29 for men on average to get married, its a higher than old generations because millennials have a lot more debt. Gen X was 27 for men, 25 for women. Boomers it was 25 for men, 22 for women. I don't know if debts can get bigger but if they do Gen Z might be even higher.

Some of my coworkers (at Subway) also have college degree but they have a lot of debt now. I don't have college debt but I have a daughter.
