If it's solid, it could be a parasite in its larva stage like a botfly or something.

is there a lump underneath it? my golden had some weird shit like that on his muzzle and my best guess is that it was probably a spider bite. eventually i popped it and squeezed a lot of stuff out and it just healed on its own.

you know you can CALL the vet and just ask right? a lot of them have no problem giving simple advice if its something minor.
