I work as a chef in a university and recently a woman who I make omelettes for every morning has been calling me "dad" as kind of a joke because I remind her of how her dad cooks. I am confident she is joking but I actually do like her.
I am 24 and she is 22 so it's not like I am a geezer or whatever. The issue is I don't know if she is flirting or just friendly joking.
She also has a boyfriend all ready... so I have no idea why calls me daddy while waiting for an omelette.
What would you do?
She's messing with you. She's not secretly in love with you.
she's just being friendly.

This, she's just having fun. Don't underrate being friendly/being friends with a girl without looking for anything more.

Why would someone mess around by calling someone that's not their dad... dad?
I guess I am retarded because I was secretly hoping she likes me because girls don't ever pay attention or play around with. I just sit there and austically pump out omelettes.

People say all kinds of shit but your problem is that you are viewing it through a lens in which you hope she feels something for you so rather than making theories suit the facts, you're trying to make facts suit your theories.
We all make that mistake. Just notice when you are doing it so you can judge the situation objectively.

You answered that in your own damn post
>has been calling me "dad" as kind of a joke because I remind her of how her dad cooks.
