I have an interview at a grocery store in a couple of days. I never can come up with a good answer for the "why do you want to work here" question. Please help me
I looked at their website and they say they work towards improving the quality of life in the community they serve. Would it be a bad idea to just repeat that in my own words?
Supermarkets trying to look good by saying that =/= what the manager is looking for. Tell them you will work hard, use energetic body language and don't sound like a bullshitter.
I usually go with: so I can go to sleep with a full stomach like anyone else. Why do you gotta make up bullshit?
So just be honest and try to show that I really want the job. Thanks

From someone who has interviewed at many investment banks and hedge funds, and ultimately got a grad job with one, I would say:
- Seeking a challenge
- I'm a people person & I want to be involved in client facing work
- I have a passion for the community, and the grocery store is part of this community's core
- I am longing to do something, contribute to something, and be part of a team
You'll blow them away. Good luck.

Don't do this.
If you say shit like this, they'll assume you'll leave as soon as you either get something better or realize how awful working there is.
