Maybe I'm reading to much into it.
But he has hit milestones a little slow, walking, grasping, words. About 2-3 months behind.
But has odd tendencies. He's obsessed with fans and spinning things, he stacks blocks, but only likes to stack them in groups of two. I've noticed he's very peculiar about what he touches, he doesn't like certain textures and seems to need to observe things for a long time before he trys it.
Not sure if those are sign, but I wanted to bring it up to my brother, but I wasn't sure how or if those are really signs.

When I was a toddler, I would put a bunch of little plastic animals in a line that would stretch across rooms. If anyone accidentally bumped into one, I'd find it and get upset about it.
Now I'm older, and I am definitely autistic. Good luck with your brother

To be clear, don't think it's like all bad, but useful to know.
My brother has an autistic son. He exhibits all the things you described. A fascination with objects, especially spinning ones, stacking and unstacking things. The biggest sign I think is the way he totally ignores people. He will not even look at people. Or listen to them. He will turn his face away if you pick him up and try to talk to him. If he sees an object he is interested in, he will just try to grab it, regardless of whether someone has it in his hand or he has to push someone to get to it. It's like other people are air to him and don't exist.
Good luck.
