I had the same problem when my depression was at its worst. sometimes ~12 weeks between showers and I wouldn't even be able to recall the last time I had brushed. The most important thing here is figuring out how to change any routine, not just yours specifically.

Start by doing something to break the routine. For me it was planting some tomatoes and catnip and performing the daily maintenance to keep them alive. Yours could be going for a short walk either around the house or the neighborhood. Or perhaps doing some bodyweight exercises like squats.

As soon as I got a job, I quit all those bad habits cold turkey.

Also enabled me to make friends, move out, get my license, and live the life I lead today.

I was pushing 300 lbs, rotting teeth, with 4 different level 70's in raid gear on WoW, now I'm under 200lbs, invested in my teeth, have hobbies like working on cars and make a middle-wage living as a highschool drop out


I could do better with my teeth, I only brush once a day, in the morning, and I do plan to eventually get my GED, and even move on with further career development, and I start my first engine build this summer.

I want to be more productive and not be a 17 year old in a 24 year old body. This is pathetic for my age. I have no ambitions, no goals, and everyday is a fog after another.

I do not even know what fucking date it is sometimes. I do not remember when was the last time I brushed my teeth. My memory is depleting drastically; almost as if I am on auto-pilot with no end.

I once was a great kid with talent. I was into sports, music, and remarkable academically. It all went so wrong. Growing into this person is...not what I want. I never imagined myself to be such a loser one day.

Things will only get worse and I do not know how to break this cycle. Is it worth the effort? That I do not know. Sometimes I just want to end it all and accept I will never improve. Other times I want it to be worth it.

Something to keep in mind is that you might be incapable of changing it on your own. You very well may need therapy either by itself or combined with medication depending on the cause of your depression. It's no fault of your own you just got dealt a bum hand. Just think, there are people who are 35 and haven't even realized they want to change or break the cycle that you're currently in at only 24. You're years ahead of them!

I'll tell you what worked for me. I got a Chinese gf by offering free English lessons at the local McDonalds. She never stops pushing me to strive to make more money and keep up my appearance, all while convincing me to up my status. Maybe you just need a Chinese gf too.

I never understood this. What is the purpose here? I have always been alone and the few times I tried to make friends I just felt out of place and anxious. And a lot of people are rude irl. I joined a club once and just got dirty looks, so I stopped going. People would bring more problems than not.

Just start by fucking brushing your teeth in the morning. Once you feel the cleanliness in your mouth you're not going to want to eat for a while afterwards. Also, take 15-30 minute walks.

Keep yourself awake as long as you can, then go to sleep at a reasonable time and set an alarm for a decent time in the morning. Force yourself into a decent sleeping pattern.

Sort this shit out first before "get fit and lift lad". If you cant even get up to brush your fucking teeth you wont go out and get fit.
