Im in a similar situation, SO is a trump supporter and I cant stand trump. However, SO has always been conservative and ive always been liberal. We never lied to eachother about our views and in reality we have a lot of common viewpoints on major hot button topics. There doesnt have to be this great dichotomy. Most people fall somewhere on a spectrum. If you told her your views and were open to a real conversation with her you might be surprised.
