How to take a good photo at a photographer? I need a CV photo but they photograph me from my worst side: like I can't chill up and smile or even just make a natural expression when they tell me to tilt my head 1.78 degrees up and to the left. I can take good selfies without any angles and it just werks.

Then make your selfie looks like from a photographer, or let somebody help you do that

Perhaps I should just warn them that I can't pose for shit and show them a good selfie to demonstrate how I'd like the photo to look like?
I feel like I should be assertive here instead of settling for photos that I feel are shit.

Take 50 selfies from various angles and with various smug faces. Pick the best looking one.
Easy.

I can easily take just 1-3 selfies and get a good one but it has to look professional y'know

Is a photo for CV, you dont have to pose and shit, just put your selfie face

But my tense gets tense especially because the angle is unnatural

>professional
There is almost nothing to think about selfies. Use your selfie and be done with it.

It happens when someone else want to take group pic while you in it?? come on, man up
And I saw pretty much CVs photo with a not really ID photo, just pick one of your photo with face and put it on your CV

Well I can't really smile in group photos either but I think it looks better anyway. Ok, I'll use a selfie if I don't find a better option, thx.

In these days of digital cameras when they're not wasting film, any decent photographer will take a dozen or more shots while the two of you are chatting, to catch a natural moment rather than a formal pose. If they don't offer, ask them to do it that way.
