Is watching porn even just once bad for your brain chemistry and should be avoided at all costs? Or is porn every once in a while healthy for you?

I myself have never been a porn addict. I watched a lot in highschool but I was never into anything freaky or weird, even anal turns me off. I just liked looking at boobies.

I haven't watched any porn at all in 2 yesrs because of the proclaimed benefits, I wanted less social anxiety around women and to last longer in bed. But I think without porn I am more needy with women than before. I guess there's only way to find out.

Is it dangerous if I watch porn once or am I ok?

Don't watch porn, you'll die.

This will help provide you with some nifty info about Pornography and what it does to the Brain.

I'm aware of what porn does. But what about using it in a healthy way, like just once in a blue moon? Similar to how it's good for you to drink alcohol every once in a while
>>
Okay so this is the thing.

Porn, by itself, is literally nothing. Naked people doing sexual things. So what? Animals fuck in the wild all the time and nobody gives a fuck.

The thing about porn deals with sexual self gratification. Us humans NEED to have a lively sex life, more so if we're men because after some weeks of not ejaculating at all our balls will naturally expel sperm on its own. Unlike women who get their period to throw unused ovules away, we have no other mechanism but ejaculation to throw unused sperm away. And given the production of sperm literally never stops, we have to ejaculate sooner or later.

Given that masturbation is something us men need on a constant basis, that our biology makes us horny with ease, and that we need to have sexual activity in a constant basis, we need something to keep us aroused. Some guys have their SO, but the rest of us need something else. This is where porn comes in, to allow our exploration of sexuality.

But you also need to keep it in check because addiction is a possibility. Sexual activity releases drugs that makes us like what we're doing. If we don't keep it in check we can become addicts, just like with any other drug.

Bottom line: it's okay. Just be aware to not overdo it (i.e. don't fap all the time and don't let it take your time from more important activities).

True story.

Porn is inherently exploitative (although you could say all service positions are), nobody in porn wants to be there except with rare exception. The sex you see is at best feigned intimacy/feeling, and obviously fake, or at worst the exploitative nature of it is played up for the viewer's pleasure. If porn was just people having sex as they do in the wild, and for some reason sharing it, then I don't think there would be any danger of rewiring you in a dangerous way; you wouldn't be chasing hollow pursuits because the sex is real. However, because this isn't the case most often (even amateur porn can be the result of an abusive relationship), you are rewiring yourself to take pleasure in the misfortune of others, and to ignore the pleasure of actual physical intimacy that isn't some scripted s&m play (they literally call them "scenes" in the s&m community, this should be a tipoff as to how it can name you think). Who knows how this will impact your actual sexual mentality, but it can't be good, unless you choose to associate displeasure with it instead of pleasure, but even then you're supporting the industry with page views. You really don't want to begin desiring to treat people like that, it is nigh incurable madness.

But no, I don't think once will hurt you. But it still isn't "right".

You actually don't need to ejaculate constantly, it'll just get reabsorbed into the body, ejaculation pretty much has a negligible effect on the body.

If you're going to quote 'Maslow's hierarchy of needs' then you might as well bring in Freud and all the other quacks to support your arguments.

>Porn is inherently exploitative
>nobody in porn wants to be there except with rare exception.
I think you should go read testimonials that will make you change your mind. They say how they truly enjoy it. Some girls, for instance, do it because it makes them feel their body validated and it's a sort of relief for them.

>even amateur porn can be the result of an abusive relationship
This is not always true but it happens... only in the context of amateur porn, of course.

>you are rewiring yourself to take pleasure in the misfortune of others
If you don't have the perception they're actually being unfortunate, are you truly rewiring yourself? This would be true only if the misfortune itself was perceptible.

For instance some people actually and literally get off on the suffering of others, such as in BDSM. Hell, some people get off on physical pain. That's sexuality for you.

>But it still isn't "right".
What is right anyways?

It's pretty interesting because according to https://www.reuniting.info/ejaculation_how_often_for_good_health , they say
>Curious, my husband and I began digging around for the answer. Results were, not surprisingly, inconsistent

And apparently there isn't any consensus on whether it's healthy or not. If anything, ejaculation provides men with release that helps with a momentary feeling of well-being. And some more recent studies prove that men who don't ejaculate with a certain frequency are at a higher risk of prostate cancer ( http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/ejaculation-frequency-could-have-serious-consequences-for-mens-health_us_571e557de4b0d0042da9e154 ).

Not who you replied to but I've read tons of testimonials about how exploitative it is. Maybe you should do some reading.

something doesn't have to be healthy or unhealthy. somethings are just there.

porn is like junk food. it will never be healthy, but that doesn't mean you need to 'avoid it all cost'.

porn is something you watch to enjoy your self. as others mention its exploitative, but so is your clothes, your phone, your coffee, most everything you consume and use is created by the suffering of others, to an extreme degree you would not agree with.

the whole 'no porn' thing only works if you push your self towards the alternatives. it doesn't teleport you to a magical club full of women who want to sleep with you and it doesn't give you courage. the theory is more that if you arent watching porn or fapping you'll feel no other choice but to approach women, but if you still don't approach women you clearly have other unrelated issues that need to be resolved.

it is not 'dangerous' to watch porn, cuz as you pointed out, quitting porn has had no real benefit to you.

again it is like junk food. if you eat some every day it wont even kill you as long as the rest of your diet is in balance. but if you let it consume you, then yeah its dangerous.

the question isn't whether or not porn is dangerous, but rather whether or not your personality is. if you can handle watching porn without becoming an addict, thats great. if not, then resolve that issue.

Who the fuck cares if it's exploitative. Look at your electronics, clothes, jewelry, all sorts of things and it's the same. Exploitation happens, it's the world we live in.
>>
>just once
No
>couple times a week/month
Eh
>over 4x a week/every day
Yes, in 3 years you will be fully transitioned and your farts will sound like an air brake.

That's the same thing as cutting your finger off in a healthy way.
Porn is unhealthy and unnecesary.
Quit porn myself a few weeks ago and already feel much clearer, much more human.
You need to get laid instead.
>>
>>18337860
You do not need porn to ejaculate.
