It isn't overexposed per se, but it is bright. This looks like it is out of camera. Did you shoot RAW or JPG?

It reminds me a bit of Ansel Adams, however the trees in the foreground do not have a crisp, sharp focus. But again, that is probably camera quality, however even with an entry level DSLR and a smaller aperture, more things should theoretically be in focus.

I think it is a decent composition, I would darken your blacks, and brighten your whites in editing.

I just did this online in a couple seconds, but you can play around with it.

the composition is rather bland. but for a generic landscape shot i'd say it's alright.
