My wife pooped out my son a few days ago and he's doing fine, but do you have any advice that you want to pass along to a new dad.

It doesn't matter whether its for the mother, the baby, or myself. I just want to be prepared for anything that could come up.

lol. First of all congratulations! I would prep for long sleepless nights of crying. Babies like white noise so you can try to have a playlist of calming sounds. They're also gonna put their mouths on everything which is their way of learning actually. So try not pull every single thing out of their mouth (unless it's hazardous obvs). Good luck anon!

Congratulations, anon.

I'm also open for parental books or children's book recommendations. My wife read the crap out of the mayo clinic pregnancy book already and I cant remember any of the books that were read to me as a kid.
Thanks

The best thing you could do is encourage his work ethic and encourage him to deal well with failure.
Basically something like "Failure is normal in life buddy, so you're going to do it a lot. The important thing is that you always try your hardest and never give up. That's all that matters."

t. I agree with this. It's a bad idea to spoil your son rotten and it doesn't end well for anyone. Best to teach him the value of working hard and to keep trying his best.
