my bf has major depression and usually we can get by but lately hes just been so disconnected and he cares less and less about living and he has no motivation and nothing i say can help, what do?

I'm in the same situation but generally you just have to be there for them. There's only so much you can do for them. Its mostly their problem and they must learn to conquer it themselves if you want him to become a better person.

Sometimes all you can do is stand by and be there for him when he says he needs you. Does he go to therapy or is he on meds?

I would like to know how you two even met if he has depression.
