I'm not seeing any improvement after about 8 weeks of treatment. I'm 19 (male), I get acne around my mouth/cheek area pretty badly. I used to get it bad on my forehead back when I was in middle school but now it's pretty clear and no scars.
I use a generic salisylic acid 2% oil free acne wash twice a day, on weekends I exfoliate with a glycerin scrub, change pillow cases twice a week, and I eat pretty healthy no dairy or sugar. Is it time for derm?
I had it pretty bad too. I'll try see if I can find the tablets the doctor prescribed me that actually worked.
There are certain soaps that you cantry on your skin, worked for me once, but they're kind of expensive

Get your doc to prescribe you Retin-A topical cream, and possibly Clindyamycin. If topical shit doesn't work, then the nuclear option is pills -- which I can't remember the name of at this moment.

See a dermotologist. They can prescribe some heavy duty meds. I think there is even pill form now.
