It's been five god damn years and I still can't get over her.
I just saw a picture of her and her new boyfriend and I got jealous.
What the hell is wrong with me? How do I erase these feelings?

Have you grieved and accepted that it's over?

She isn't into you. Accept that. That's step one.
Step two is moving on and getting something else going in your life. Romantically or otherwise. If you have something important to think about, you won't get stuck on things from the past.

Learn to do everything she did well better than her. Become more knowledgeable about all her favorite things, take over the parts of your mind that remind you of her.
Eventually, someone will love you for all the things you've learned to replace her. And then the whole thing won't feel like such a mistake.

>she's being compared to every new girl I meet.
You are comparing her. And if it's other people comparing, tell them to stop.

Man, these kind of threads make me wonder if getting a girlfriend is worth all the possible stress and heartbreak.

It's like anything good in your life, if you lose it it sucks
But yes, it's worth it and yes losing someone you love feels worse than not having anyone.

Is that her on the pic?
