Both are good but it depends on what exclusives you want mostly.
I do ps4 since I think there exclusives out match xbones. Buy you should look up what kind of games you want to play and see which system will help you play those games

Personally I had to get a PS4 for THE SHOW. I really like the system and network. I've had it for about 2 years now. Still original controller, never had to ship it for repairs. The customer support help is available via online chat, helped me twice, including when I couldnt get a new game to queue download. They're both basically the same price now, right?

Find any games you want to play which arent on pc.

Then realize that pc has free multiplayer, steam has MASSIVE sales around sumer and winter, you can pirate and even be productive writing your diploma work on it.

And if you really want to be the peasant, ps4. It has at least some exclusitives you cant find anywhere else. Xbox has no exclusives at all. You can play them all on w10 on pc. Also ms will sooner or later kill it for sure in sone retarded way.

You should outweigh the pros and cons of each by doing research of your own. As you can clearly see by reading the majority of the comments, you will not get anywhere. If you listen here, you'll end up buying an Atari,

That's not true. It's pretty clear from these comments that not one person has had a good thing to say about the Xbox (because it's an underpowered piece of shit even for a console, and has no games). So assuming he can't afford a PC, the clear answer would be to get a ps4.
