As a faggot who is currently using POF in Arizona: From my experiences i'd say that it is NOT for serious people.

The pool is large but the ghosting is heavy and a fucking shitload of girls make it astronomically difficult to both meet and talk with them. In the best case scenario where they actually respond to you they'll either keep their answers agonizingly short (Ex: "Awesome" "I can" "idk") or make it difficult and awkward when you try to get a date going (EX1: "I have to check" or "I'm out of town") (EX2: "I'll tell you later" or "At my place" when you ask where you'll pick her up) which is just met with ghosting when you try to defend the plans and yourself. Plus chances are high that you're even going to have to remind them of the date else you'll get "OHLOL I FORGOT!"

Also a LOT of the girls are considerably ghetto and are substance users. Molly,Weed(the biggest),cocaine,you name it and you can find a girl who is into it.
