The thing is that saying that isn't a "comeback". It just shows that you can be a dick as well and that you feel offended by him. The way it went right now was actually much better. He was being a bit patronizing and you acted above that. If he's a decent fellow he felt ashamed by your response. If not there's no point anyway.
