Your ideal delivery is that the other person doesn't realize it's a joke until a moment after you finish saying it. Their reaction should be "yeah, I guess... oh wait, that was a joke" and if it was clever it'll be funny

Sounds more depressed than deadpan or snarky which builds on seeing the upside, since any kind of humor/comedy works with surprise. Although I guess the exhaustion that comes with depression helps to deliver the lines with the right tone.
