Just found out I failed my first year of university (I know, I'm retarded). I'm not interested in anything else except for the program I failed out of (business).
Should I start looking for work? and if so where?
Parents are giving me the opportunity to maybe go to college or switch into an easier program, but I don't want to waste even more money.
Please help me
bump..

What are you trying to do with your life?
Did you fail because of laziness?
My first two semesters in EE were 1.47 and 1.61 gpa. I'm finishing up my third year now and I'm almost at a 3.
Anything is possible anon. Chances are you weren't ready and didn't have the study habits or motivation (the problem in my case).
If you want to work/wait, then get a job asap. But if you want to go back to school eventually, sooner is better than later.
I recommend community college.
business isn't supposed to be seriously hard. I would try to pass. try to optimize your performance. maybe get a tutor.

Most universities won't actually throw you out for failing but will put you on probation, giving you one more term to get your act together.
Another alternative is that most will let you come back even after being thrown out if you take a year someplace else and get decent grades.
Talk to your adviser or dean about options.
