Do you guys think friends sucks now days ?

That's fairly normal, m8. If they blow you off all the time, they're not good friends, but everyone shows up late or cancels plans sometimes. Unless money is being spent, you can't really treat a social engagement as an "appointment"

only two people out of my whole community do i feel comfortable bringing over beers. not only will i have a good time, but they will invite me to drink their beers on the next date. kind of a mutual thing, you share i share.

I think it may be harder to find more commited friends in this age of connectivity. It's way easier to cancel nowadays because of phones. Back in the day before the age of cell phones, you could tell someone "hey lets meet here in 3 days at 4pm" and they would sure hell be there.
