OP, you are putting way too much thought to the thing.

It's fine to worry, it's fine to wish for it to last since you liked it. There's nothing wrong with it, and it's not your fault if it doesn't last in any case.
I mean... that person, or those, has his own troubles to deal with, his own insecurities, his own problems and so on... Don't put the blame of someone elses choices on your back, it's not your weight to carry!!

In any case, I'd advice you to take some time to spend on yourself. Go watch a movie you want to, go work on your job and focus on it. Go dance, sing... Just put focus on you, and away from them. A good way to do this is actually helping someone else with their chores... It's small, but this will make you focus on helping, therefore shifting your focus away from them and into your own life.

By doing so, you are giving yourself the love you wish them to give you, I take it you want attention and to be taken care of, right? When we are adults, we are the ones that give us those things... Your happiness only depends on you, not on anybody else.

So go be happy by yourself. Believe me, if you are feeling good, you will be attractive and will be worth whatever you want. If someone misses another that can be happy alone, and by doing so bring a lot of value to the relationship, the other is the one who's 'losing'.

Try not to get too attached to people you just meet. There was a girl I went out with and really clicked with, and then she started ghosting me. It was only one date, but it was a really good one and I liked her a lot. I was pretty torn up about it. I get obsessive, too.
