OP here, I'm just looking for advice. I'm not ready to face the disappointment in my parents eyes.

It's not so bad, you can always try again. If not, then get to working or deeply think about yourself and what you really want, if its only achievable through studying then get your shit sorted out and get serious next time.

If not, the world outside is inmensely big, you can always become what you want with just hard work. Also, they're your parents, yeah they'll get disappointed but soon they'll be the ones helping you.

Good luck mate, I was in the same situation sometime ago, but remember it all works out one way or another

take next semester off, get a full-time job in retail, work it for 2 years, pay your parents rent, if you get fired promise YOURSELF that you'll move out and quit being a leech, give 2 weeks notice at job after 2 years with brand new perspective and appreciation for the gift of higher-education.

This is something I couldn't get my own parents to understand. I knew when I was in college that I didn't have the experience in life to take it seriously. To me life was video games, playing music, fucking my girlfriend and junk food. When that is your entire resume how in the hell could you possibly appreciate college? You need to build some perspective, OP. Taking a year off to go live a little isn't "wasting time". It's your life. The only way you can waste time is if you spend it doing something that YOU didn't want to do in the first place.

Thank you, this is definitely worth a shot. I take everything for granted and have no skills that can truly carry me well in life.
But to be honest this sounds better said than done. How should I get started? I'm tired of sitting on my ass and I'm sure they are too.

Don't put yourself too down seriously failing the first semester is pretty much the average you got freedom and you wasted your time not the best choice but certainly not the worst thing you can do, go to an advisor and get the hardest class dropped or if the entire semester is out you can get all of them dropped at once.

Just remember this moment next time you should be studying but you want to be out with your friends, there's a time and place to goof off but if there's an exam on the horizon or homework you haven't finished you'll have to ask yourself if you want the degree or if you just want to be done with school.

No one will judge you just make the choice that's best for you and your family will understand.

PS. this is what I wish someone told me three years ago when I failed my first semester.
