I have probably filled out at least 50 applications now and I cant seem to get a call back from anything. I even applied to fucking McDonalds and even they didn't call me back. Im 18 now and I still don't have a job which I think is embarrassing. I have done some small time quick jobs here and there. and I even have an online t-shirt store so I can at least make SOME money. I do have a pretty good reliable car, so that Is not a problem. I just can't seem to find a job for my life and I really dont want to disappoint my parents into thinking Im lazy and all I want to do is play video games. Im not like that at all, please any ideas on what I could doing wrong?

Submit your resume\cv to a professional resume\cv writing service. They will show you how to re-write it to best get people's attention.

Also since you seem to be a bit of an entrepreneur, don't ignore the fact that you can always grow your business.

The first "real" job is always the hardest. Don't panic yet.

First of all, exhaust all your resources. Most people get their first jobs through connections since they cannot on experience. You must have some friends who may be employed (or previously employed) somewhere.
A sibling, a cousin, even your parents can help you.
My rejected application folder was in the 100's before I got my first gig at a JC Penney because my friend worked there.
Also, be sure to seek advice. I asked my parents all the time to look over my application, and they gave me advice on how to phrase things better, or what to omit.

Keep plastering your applications everywhere. Mcfats rejected me too. They're bastards lol. Just keep it up, something will come down eventually.

If your parents are responsible members of society, they will see the effort you are putting into getting a job. They'll know it's tough starting out and that you're really trying. Relax man. The good news is it's all uphill when you do manage to land your job. With real experience your options will be much wider.

One last protip, when you do get that first job, for the love of fucking god DO NOT quit it until you've been there a couple months. I don't give a shit how soul sucking it is, how much you hate it, how much you wanna kill yourself than be there, suck it up and tough it out. Because if you quit within the first month, you might as well have never even had the job. It'll look bad on your resume to future employers if they think you're just gonna quit on them the second it gets too hard.

I wish I was like you when I was younger, but I end up going to college and got a master degree in physics and now I'm unemployed and a disgrace to my parents.

My advice is don't try to rush things man, you are still very young and your parents probably understand your situation :)

Not OP, but I have a question regarding this.
Let's say there was a place/places I liked, and wanted to work there, but they aren't explicitely looking for new employees. Would it be wise to ask them if they can go over my CV if they need someone new anyway? At least it'd show some initiative

In this day and age? No. The old folk say to do this all the time, but what they don't understand is that employers in the digital era don't even accept applications if there isn't a job anymore.

I cannot remember the last time I filled out an actual paper application. They all want you to go online to a portal, that only allows for applications to be sent in when a job is posted.
Giving nearly any employer a piece of paper these days will generally just end in them placing it directly in the trash later, because they have all their applications they can look at online.

Ok, thanks for the tip anon. What about smaller, family bussinesses?
>>

If they accept paper applications, you can try. But I've never really seen that make any difference. It doesnt show as much initiative as you think. By the time a position opens up, they've long since forgotten you.

Finding a job is as much about being in the right place at the right time as anything else.

You're on a site with neets in the 20s and 30s and you already technically have your own business and car at 18 and you are worried about not being viewed as productive enough?
>>
>>18252053
The average job hunt, even for those with skills and qualifications, takes 6 months.
>>
I was the same. Got my first job at 21 with connections because my older brother worked there before. It's a small casino which I dishwasher. Before that my only experience with work was community service during high school.

Like another anon said you will have the most success if you have connections. I have a friend who's like me also. He got his first job at target only because his mom and sister works there
