Getting over frustration

I'm currently teaching English in Japan which I'm really enjoying. Last year I taught at elementary schools so this year I wanted to try junior high schools to try and give me a better picture of whether I'd like teaching as a career.

I signed on for a contract that was a combination of elementary and junior high, but when I got my school information I'd been assigned four elementary schools, one junior high school and a kindergarten as well. I was pretty disappointed about it, but I figured my company just hadn't gotten many junior high contracts, bad luck.

That was until I met my new co-workers who were assigned 3, 3 and 2 junior high schools respectively. Of course it's too late to say anything now that everything's been assigned, but I can't help but feel really angry and upset about my situation. I was really looking forward to teaching a higher level of students, and would have loved the schedule that any of my co-workers got. It's not that I dislike where I'm working, but I feel like I'm not able to learn more about myself through teaching elementary students again, it's like I'm just wasting a year of my life.

I'm usually good at getting over things, but this really mattered to me and every time I think about it I get angry, upset and depressed.

Can anyone give me advice on how to deal with these feelings? Thanks.
