I suck at being in a relationship!

the title sais it all:

I suck at being in a relationship.
don't get me wrong I like being in a relstionship, I love my gf and we have good times together.

my issue is really the everyday stuff:
I have no problem being the perfect boyfriend in a social situation: Going out to meet friends at a bar, eating out or whatever we do.. it's the inbetween that I just have no clue what to do with, the times when we're just hanging out in my place:
>what do we talk about?
>What do we do?
At those times I am clingy
>experience from past relationships taught me that I should not be clingy, so now I am not clingy at all and I realize we have nothing to talk about and nothing to do when "we're just hangin' at my place" is that something couples do? just being at the same place but not really doing anything in perticular?
I feel like we should do stuff together when we hang I feel wierd just having her over for no reason at all... also don't get me wrong I love her company but I feel like I'm doing something wrong If she's here and I can't figure something out to entertain her we just sort of are together.

I'm just rambling shit now aren't I?
Give me some advice if you have any I guess.
