Shave, dress well, if you're the obsessive type then get obsessed about socially acceptable stuff and then speak to your autism's content when you're asked about your life. You'll turn away some people but if it's a cool stuff that you're doing then you're gonna get people closer to you too.

Shave, keep a decent appearance, and learn to small talk before releasing the autism to the people you start to know better. As long as you're passionate about it and not annoying or uncomfortable to be with then you'll be ok.
