I believe you should give yourself a reason to like yourself. It could be things like your accomplishments, physical looks or even things you own. If you have none of those things, then there's always what you're good at; What separates you from everyone else. You'll attract people who are also good at what you do, and from there, just build a foundation of Self Esteem.
